In the modern world, where technology is already a huge part of our lives, we are increasingly beginning to introduce it into education. After the COVID-19 pandemic, schoolchildren and students throughout Kazakhstan were forcibly sent to online education. For many this became a real challenge. But some universities have introduced blended learning - this is hybrid learning that includes online technologies and conventional traditional ones. This approach allows you to combine two of the best practices in the world, creating a synthesis between them. In this article, the author examines blended learning as a new modern tool for effective learning. The main advantages and disadvantages of blended learning are considered, how to better maintain the interest of students in learning and how to increase the effectiveness of learning. The disadvantages of training in this format, which represent the problems faced by Kazakhstanis, are also considered. The theoretical part is devoted to a review of existing research on this topic, and the experimental part is the results of a study in which academic achievements were assessed between two groups that were trained in the traditional system and the mixed one.
