Abstract

In the article, the authors analyze the development prospects of green finance in Kazakhstan, utilizing global indices such as the Global Green Economy Index and the Global Innovation Index for comparative analysis. The research results indicate a close relationship between the level of green financing development in Kazakhstan and the country's green investment system and financing sources. The establishment of the AIFC Green Finance Centre is highlighted as a significant step towards sustainable development in Kazakhstan and neighboring regions, fostering investment in environmentally friendly initiatives for a more resilient future. Additionally, the article addresses the main problems and obstacles encountered in the development of the green economy in Kazakhstan.
