SCIENTIFIC AND METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS FOR INTEGRATING ELEMENTS OF FOLK PEDAGOGY IN TEACHING INORGANIC CHEMISTRY

The scientific and methodological foundations for integrating elements of folk pedagogy into the teaching of inorganic chemistry are examined. In the modern educational context, teaching natural science disciplines should not be limited to the formation of subject knowledge but should also aim at developing students’ national worldview, cultural values, and personal qualities. In this regard, the integration of the abstract content of inorganic chemistry with folk experience is substantiated as an effective means of enhancing students’ cognitive activity. The theoretical essence of the concepts of folk pedagogy and ethnopedagogy is revealed, and the relationship between chemical content and traditional notions of metals, salt, water, and fire is analyzed. The practical section presents examples of applying folk experience in teaching metals, salts, oxides, and combustion reactions. The results obtained demonstrate that the ethnopedagogical approach increases students’ interest in the subject and has a positive impact on the development of responsibility, environmental awareness, and national identity.
