In the context of modernization of the education system and the introduction of new educational standards, the issue of psychological and pedagogical support for the implementation of primary education programs is becoming particularly relevant. Primary school represents a fundamental stage in the development of a child's personality, learning motivation, cognitive abilities, and social adaptation. The effectiveness of implementing educational programs at this level largely depends not only on the quality of educational content but also on the system of psychological and pedagogical support aimed at the harmonious development of the child's personality and successful adaptation to the educational environment. The article examines the theoretical foundations of psychological and pedagogical support for the educational process in primary school and analyzes the main functions and areas of activity of support specialists, including teachers, psychologists, and social educators. Special attention is paid to the issues of adaptation of younger schoolchildren to the educational environment, the formation of learning motivation, and the development of cognitive processes and the emotional-volitional sphere of students. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of using the presented conclusions and recommendations in the development of psychological and pedagogical support programs in primary school, as well as in the process of training pedagogical personnel.
