The article considered the problems of social adaptation of graduates of orphanages in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The article focused on the main difficulties that young people face when transitioning to independent life. The main problems of graduates of orphanages include difficulties with employment, housing, formation of stable social ties and self-organization skills. The study revealed that insufficient support from the state and society often leads to social alienation, marginalization and emotional instability. An analysis of existing state programs to support graduates of orphanages and initiatives of non-governmental organizations aimed at promoting successful adaptation was conducted. The authors of the article offer recommendations for improving the system of post-boarding support and developing effective mentoring programs that help graduates integrate into society and increase their chances of successful socialization.
