This article attempts to study M. Zoshchenko's epic painting "The Meeting" through the methodology and methodology of a comprehensive study of his artistic system. At the same time, attention is focused on the manifestations of content and form through the ratio of "chaos" and "order" at each stage of the analysis, defining the purpose of the work. The presented approach assumes, according to the principle of isomorphism, to consider the interrelation of parts, substantive and formal components. In the course of the analysis, the plot, the symbolic meaning, the genre variety and the character of the image are revealed at the first stage. At the second stage, the genre form, the object theme, the character of the image, the character of the image is confirmed. The third and fourth stages are focused on revealing the method of image, genre, style, genre form, genre variety, generic features.
