In the conditions of economic development and economic processes, the role and economic importance of information resources is increasing. Currently, these resources are a source of reproduction and accumulation of intellectual capital of any country seeking to become among the leaders of competition in various sectors of the economy. The desire to have modern, constantly updated information resources is an unshakable pattern of the nation's competitiveness.
The latter is the owner of advanced knowledge, comprehensive skills and adequate conditions for their effective implementation and is the basis and main source of expanded reproduction of intellectual capital aimed at ingenuity, rationality, economical production, high-quality and conscientious work.
The subject of the study is socio-economic relations arising in the process of formation and development of intellectual capital.
The purpose of the work is to identify the features of the economic content of intellectual capital in modern economic conditions.
The authors claim that the concept of intellectual capital has made it possible to reflect the economic content of education as intellectual resources at the micro- and macroeconomic level.
The article outlines the main provisions of the theories of economic development, post-industrial society, human capital, socio-economic changes, social conflicts, organizations, etc.
