Abstract
The author devoted her research to art historical approaches to the analysis of the figurative and plastic structure of Kazakh dance as a unique phenomenon of national choreographic culture. The aim of the study is to uncover the methodological foundations and analytical tools that will enable the identification of the artistic and figurative content and expressive means of traditional and stage Kazakh dance. The study utilized comparative-analytical, structural-semiotic, and hermeneutic methods, which provided a comprehensive examination of plastic form as a system of signs and symbols. The author analyzed the interrelationships of movement, rhythm, composition, and facial expressions as elements of the figurative system of dance, reflecting the worldview and spiritual values of the Kazakh people. Particular attention was paid to the relationship between ethnoplasticity and stage stylization, as well as the influence of cultural transformations on the contemporary understanding of artistic image. The study's results demonstrated that Kazakh dance is a multilayered art form in which aesthetic form is combined with archetypal meanings and ethnic memory. The conclusions of the research article emphasize the importance of art historical analysis for preserving and updating Kazakhstan's national choreographic tradition in the context of global cultural processes.
