Abstract

The article explores ways to improve the economic efficiency of Kazakhstan’s energy sector through the implementation of digital tools and renewable energy technologies. Based on statistical data from the Ministry of Energy, KEGOC, and Samruk-Energy, the study evaluates trends in digitalization and the use of alternative energy sources. Special attention is given to the economic feasibility of integrating solar and wind power plants with digital asset mining projects, as well as the potential for optimal utilization of coal deposits for combined electricity generation. The results show that the transition to a digital energy management model can increase the overall profitability of the sector by 15-20% and ensure sustainable national economic growth. Digitalization of energy infrastructure is considered a key factor in forming a «smart» and adaptive resource management system. Its strategic implementation contributes to achieving sustainable development goals and enhancing Kazakhstan’s competitiveness in the global energy market
